ASAHI DECK, a long-established shoe manufacturer that started in 2017, produces deck shoes that use shoe molds with the beautiful shapes of the 1980s based on American deck shoes from the 1970s. All products are manufactured by skilled craftsmen in Japan. We use a vulcanized manufacturing method that is rare even in Japan, which significantly increases the strength and elasticity of the upper and sole of the shoe. The outsole is non-slip even on wet floors, and has wavy cuts, so it feels like it sticks to your feet with every step. The shape designed by skilled craftsmen is slim and beautiful. Please enjoy the high fitting and comfortable fit that sets it apart from conventional sneakers. Japanese deck shoes (shoelace model) Hand-wrapped side tape The rubber tape wrapped around the side of the sole is manually adjusted to create a difference in width and height from the toe. The elegant curves give it a classic and sharp feel. Flexible cutting sole It uses a cutting sole with good flexibility. With its clean silhouette and minimalist design, it can be used in a wide range of situations, from going out to daily use. These shoes will add a light touch to your spring and summer outfit. It goes well with denim, and we also recommend pairing it with a skirt or dress for a casual look. Vulcanized "Asahi" brand deck shoes are made using the traditional vulcanization method. The characteristic of this method is that it takes more time and effort, but the strength and elasticity of the rubber sole increases, making it more durable. Another attractive feature of this manufacturing method is that it is less likely to lose its shape and maintains a beautiful silhouette. Currently, only a few companies, including Asahi, are able to carry out this manufacturing process in Japan. Each pair of shoes is carefully produced using rare techniques.
