SHOES LIKE POTTERY

CONCEPT

SHOES LIKE POTTERY

SHOES LIKE POTTERY sneakers are produced by Moonstar, a long-established shoe manufacturer founded in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture in 1873.

The biggest feature of this manufacturing method, which can only be produced in a very small number of factories in Japan, is that the final process involves placing the rubber in a kiln called a vulcanizer (where the sulfur mixed into the rubber undergoes a chemical reaction).
Shoes produced using this method have the advantages of having flexible and soft soles, being durable and resistant to breakage, and maintaining a beautiful silhouette.

This method was named after its similarity to the pottery process.

And above all, what makes them so appealing is the exquisite and beautiful "quality of craftsmanship" that can only be produced through skilled handwork.
