KANEMASA PHIL. is an original brand of a circular knitwear manufacturer based in Wakayama City, Kayama Prefecture, established by Kanemasa Mokko Co., Ltd., which was founded in 1964 .

In order to preserve into the future our unique knitting machines that specialize in high-gauge knitting, Jacquard machines that can freely express a variety of patterns, and the unique techniques and craftsmanship that allow us to freely manipulate these knitting machines, our own brand, KANEMASA , was born from the 2021 Spring/Summer season. *From the 23 Autumn/ Winter season, the brand name will be changed to " KANEMSA PHIL. " upon launching overseas.

The brand's iconic logo was designed by Clement Johant , and the design blends the historical backdrop of the 1960s , when the company was first founded, with European culture.

Based on the concept of "FUTURE CLASSIC / FUTURE VINTAGE," we create clothes for the future that we think about "now."

We think about the future and provide a wardrobe that makes the wearer feel comfortable, joyful, and happy.

KANEMASA PHIL. products reflect the innovation, creativity, craftsmanship, and tradition that we have cultivated and built up over the years, and we make no compromises in anything from materials to design.

PHIL. = It comes from the ancient Greek φίλος (phílos, “loving” ) ,

Kanemasa ' s private label KANEMASA . was born in the 2021 SS season in order to preserve the unique skills and craftsmanship to manipulate the company ' s own high gauge knitting machines or Jacquard machines capable of creating freely expressed various patterns.
