チャグチャグ馬コは、岩手の南部曲がり家に代表される「愛馬精神」から生まれ、まだ馬が農作業に使われていた頃、 農繁期の中で唯一の休息日として設けられた行事が発祥となる。
CCUはその愛馬精神に敬意を込め、使う度に愛着が湧き、普遍的なプロダクトを目指。
「LEATHER-COMFORTALE-PRODUCT」をコンセプトに、従来のレザーの硬さや着にくさなどのイメージを払拭するような柔らかなレザーの素材選びや人体とレザーの間の余白を⼤事にしたパターンメイキングを行う。
アイテムではシャツを中心に展開し、日常に馴染むようなレザーアイテムがラインナップ。

The brand name CCU originates from the festival called 'Chagu Chagu Umako,' a traditional event in Iwate where horses adorned in elaborate harnesses proceed ceremoniously. Chagu Chagu Umako began about 200 years ago as a celebration to honor horses, allowing farmers to give their horses a day off after the rigors of rice-planting and to pray for their health at the shrine. CCU aims to create versatile products that honor this spirit of equine love, designed to deepen the bond with horses with every use. Under the concept of 'LEATHER-COMFORTABLE-PRODUCT,' the company selects soft leather materials that defy the conventional perception of leather as stiff and uncomfortable.
