1940年代、デニム素材のジャケットがまだジージャンと呼ばれていなかった時代、プリーツの入ったブラウスと呼ばれていました。フロントプリーツのデザインは1800年代の名残があります。織り上がった後に防縮加工がかかっていない生地は、縦方向によく縮み、1800年代当時は生地を横使いで縫製し、洗い後縮んだ際にプリーツをほどけば身幅を広げることが出来るといった仕様になっていたとも言われています。生地を縦方向に使う仕様になってからもデザインだけが残り、現代でもフロントプリーツのデザインとして継承されています。 1940年代のデニムは後年のデニムに比べ、縦ムラが長い傾向があります。原料の綿を手摘みでしていたか、機械でしていたかにより、繊維の砕け方が違うからなのか定かではないですが、1940年代以前のデニムと1950年代のデニムではムラの表情が違います。 orslow6011に使用しているオリジナルデニムも縦ムラが他の物より長い素材を使用しています。背中の仕様はサイズ3以上はTバックの仕様になっています。物が貴重で無駄なく使われていた時代に、大きいサイズの生地の用尺をよくするために考えられた仕様だと思われます。シルエット・ヨーク・袖等の切り替え位置など1940年代のVINTAGEを忠実に再現しました。

In the 1940s, before denim jackets were called denim jackets, they were called pleated blouses.
The front pleat design is a remnant of the 1800s.
Fabric that is not treated with shrink-proofing after weaving shrinks easily in the vertical direction, and it is said that in the 1800s, the fabric was sewn horizontally so that if it shrunk after washing, the pleats could be undone to widen the garment.
Even after the fabric was sewn vertically, the design remained, and is still carried on today as the front pleat design.
Denim from the 1940s tends to have longer vertical unevenness than denim from later years. It is not clear whether this is because the fibers break down differently depending on whether the cotton was hand-picked or machine-picked, but the unevenness looks different between denim from before the 1940s and denim from the 1950s.
The original denim used by orslow6011 also uses a material with longer vertical unevenness than other denim.
The back is a T-back for sizes 3 and above.
This design was likely devised to make better use of fabric in larger sizes in an era when goods were precious and no waste was wasted.
The silhouette, yoke, sleeve seam positions, etc. have all been faithfully reproduced to resemble a 1940s vintage garment.
