It is no exaggeration to say that the development of canvas sneakers was accompanied by the sport of basketball. In the 1950s and 1960s, American professional players all wore canvas sneakers, and functional designs like those of today were pursued. ＜DOEK BASKET＞ adopts a design of basketball shoes with an open lacing system. We have eliminated anything that would make a particular statement, and have only thought about making the most of the materials and their properties. The canvas upper is an original, coarse-grained 10oz canvas woven on an old-fashioned power loom. ＜INDIGO＞, which is indigo-dyed from the thread, develops a texture of the fabric the more it is worn. The footbed is made of cork, a material with natural breathability, and the outsole has a design unique to basketball shoes to prevent slipping. The vulcanization process, done by painstaking handwork, produces products that are necessary and sufficient for modern life in terms of beauty, comfort, and durability. About the fabric The indigo-dyed thread is woven into an original canvas on a traditional power loom. Indigo dyeing, which uses the indigo plant as a dye, is said to have deodorizing, bacterial suppression, UV protection, and insect repellent properties, making it a craftwork filled with the wisdom of our ancestors. Care Instructions Remove the shoelaces when washing. Add powder detergent (neutral detergent) to lukewarm water and wash by pressing the shoes in the water. Dirt on the rubber part of the sole can be effectively removed by rubbing with a melamine sponge. Next, rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water until all bubbles disappear, then stuff a towel inside the sneakers to prevent them from losing their shape, and spin-dry them in the washing machine for about 10 to 30 seconds. After that, we recommend drying them in the sun or in the shade in a well-ventilated place as soon as possible. The color will fade to a certain extent, but once it has faded to a certain extent, the color will settle and stabilize.
