Hi-Tec was founded in the UK in 1974 with its roots in squash shoes.
The hiking shoes "Sierra", released in 1978, brought the concept of "lightweight" to outdoor shoes, which had previously been heavy, and became popular. It became a big topic in Japan at the time when the outdoor boom was just beginning to arrive.
Since then, they have expanded their lineup to include everything from trekking shoes for mountaineers aiming for high peaks to camping shoes for enjoying outdoor activities. It is an outdoor lifestyle brand that continues to be loved by many outdoor enthusiasts.
